Rosh Hashanah Protests

I live in a suburb of Chicago and since tommorow after sundown is Rosh Hashanah, an anti-semetic christian church is holding a whole bunch of protests in my town and around it. They're protesting at the National Holocaust Museum which was made 1-2 years ago and is a very big to do. They also are protesting at Northwestern University and my highschool. Not only do they hate Jews, but they hate gays too. I am not Jewish and im not gay but i think it is totally wrong to do this. A lot of people are mad and i think it might get crazy tommorow. Well it made me a little angry because I used to be a pretty observant Jew.. but then I remembered that they had a sign that said "gay people are fags" and I was reminded that people that feel the need to point out things that obvious probably don't even know what Rosh Hashanah is about.

These people came to my college town (Bumblefuckia, NH, pop. 15,000). They're their own victims; venomous hate is self consuming and self destructive (see:Star Wars). But as a Jew, it definitly pissed menthe hell off, and I wanted nothing more than to cut then open, alas it's not worth going to jail over that shit. It's their right to make public idiots out of themselves; the best we can do is to ignore them and go on with out lives.

No but my school has a large Jewish population, and observes every Jewish holiday. Classes are suspended from 2:35 today until Monday

agreed, but I can understand why people would get upset over this issue since religion is a big factor in many people's lives.  I still think it's morally wrong to protest another person's religious holiday.
