Cheap Ski Movie giving away 40 grand

This is insane. The guys from Cheap Ski Movie are giving away 40 grand on powder.com. I know this looks like a complete B.S. promotion on NS to get you to go to Powder's site but I hope you guys know me better than that.


Truth be told, I think you'd be absolutely stupid not to enter as all you need to do is answer questions about Cheap Ski Movie. I know, I haven't seen it either but it's 40 grand. (If I didn't work for Powder, I'd be all over this but since I do, I can't win which is bullshit.) Again, this is for $40,000+

Seriously, I had no idea this was happening as it was a deal negotiated before I came to Powder. Our associate publisher has told me it's 100% legit so I figured, "Hey, if someone's going to win 40 grand then it might as well be a homie."

I don't tally the answers. The guys at Cheap Ski Movie do. Otherwise I'd swing this vote like the 2000 Florida Presidential.... you get the idea.

It's very real and Cheap Ski Movie is legally obligated to pay the winner. Therefore, please try and win 40 grand and if you do win, the next time you see me, buy me a drink (for every hour of the evening, over the course of a week)

I didn't see anything that explicitly said it wasn't open to canadian residents...

Does that mean that for once a contest based in the US is actually open to canadian residents?
If so then this is pretty awesome... and i guess it's 40 000 US$ as well.

I don't like hating but I've heard from pretty reliable sources that this movie really, really, blows.
I haven't seen it myself to say for sure, but with 40k on the line I would even watch teletubbies to get it.

my guess is that the contest is used as a way to gather email addresses and the $40 grand will be paid from sponsor dollars and sale of email addresses from contest.  From looking at databases at school, you would be suprised how much a single person's email address is worth. 

I will not be entering this contest.  Good luck to those who do.
