so im selling my bike and i got 3 similar emails from people who say they want to buy my bike and use paypal to pay for it, then have someone come to pick up the bike. every email asks for the paypal email and i was wondering if any of you know if you can scam someone from just having their paypal email? thanks and +k for help
if anyone is rich enough to have an agent, i doubt they would be buying a used bike. why dont they just go pick up a brand new 11 thousand dollar bike?
idk about paypal scams, but a few years ago people would use moneygram and send u the list price of your bike, plus $200 for shipping, and another $250 for "being a kind sir" and then send you moneygram for something like $7000, and tell u to wire the rest to some guy that they owe money to. long story short, it bounces, its untraceble, and your bike is long gone by the time you find out. i prefer cash, but many people may not wish to carry thousands in cash on them
