Critique a Skimboarding Edit

2nd edit I've made, its on my profile if you wanna rate/comment, but I also would like constructive criticism, as everything I have learned about video production has pretty much been self taught

Hopefully you take this constructively

iMovie opening titles i did not like
Slomo was too slow, I could see the frames
Repeating shots were very annoying

got cut off.

Backwards shot were annoying
Black spaces between shots were annoying.

On the other hand, you guys are pretty good at skimboarding.

I can't even critique it because of that song. How are you going to create a vibe with a "song" (hardly music) like you chose.

alright
im planning on upgrading to final cut, so that should solve titles
my cam only does 30 fps, so i guess not slow it down so much,
and i get what you mean about the repeat, i just thought it fit with the repetitiveness of the song

ya those other two thing ive only done in this edit, and again i thought they fit with this song, but i definetly get what you mean. I think that when you say annoying, it also means kind of childish, or what a kid with a gopro or flip would do when editing, and not artistic. i tried to get a little artsy, but again im new at this.

so ya thanks, and i have no problem with you being harsh, because thats how i can learn to correct it next time

thats what critiques are for. It was just a little elementary. You won't be artsy with elementary editing techniques, it will come from your shots
