Shut up little - spence, you don't know anything about boots, i know way more than you! so should i just get spks and hot doggers and just switch back and forth. they both will fit me fine!
I think the guy that was in that thread might be back under the alias Big_Brother. The Big_Brother guy was saying pretty much the exact same thing just about something stupider.
just go to a shop, and have someone fit you for boots. if you know what boots you want, look up where they sell them and go there. don't just buy boots online and hope they work.
there should be like a filter that stops threads whenever it catches certain words. like if you try to type 'wat are good boots' into a thread title, it won't let you make the thread and it will just redirect you to a page that says 'go to a bootfitter.'
i have last years spks and i found that they dont perform good at all in backcountry and pow because they are so upright they make it harder to be on the front of your boots and that much more difficult to have your knees over your toes. other than that still a good comfy boot but have tendencies to break like straps and what not if you ride them to hard
i didnt get a chance to try on the double six, but i will say that there was an incredible difference inbetween the feel of the dead money and the feel of the ace of spade..the spade just felt....sexworthy
just take how many times each boot is mentioned in this thread, find the winner and go buy those without trying them on. People on the internet know way more about what.is going to fit u individually than a professional boot fitter
This guy knows what's up. As for sizing, just tell them what size shoe you wear, and ask them for the closest size ski boots-wise. If he insists you should try the boots on, just leave. I know it sounds mean, but the bootfitter is obviously not a professional if he can't even figure out what size ski boot you need from your shoe size...
dont listen to anyone that comented saying get fult tilt or spks, my advice and anyone else that knows anything, is go to a boot fitter and get a boot that fits man, if the spks or full tilts fit u, then go for it but if they dont then just get a boot that fits.
I really liked my technica agents. I hardly ever got shinbang. But they felt quite a bit heavier than other boots (full tilts, spks, dalbellos, etc). whatever fits, like everyone has been saying.
