So i have a Canon T2i and i have been taking alot of long exposure pictures of the stars. i keep hearing about infinity focus but cant find anything on it.. Help with this? having trouble getting my pics in focus.

Since the kit lens is shitty (no offense), Im 99% sure you dont have a REAL focus ring, just the rotating thing at the front of the lens. On a lens with a nice focus ring, it will look similar to the zoom ring and has a little glass display in front of it with numbers in it. Not 100% what they mean but I know it has to do with how close to subject in focus is to the lens. At the very end of this display is infitity focus.

Yeah a nicer lens makes this camera mind blowing. If you're planning on filming skiing, I would recommend the Sigma 17-50 F/2.8 or the Canon 17-40 F/4. I have the Canon, and honestly wish i had gotten the sigma, its a little cheaper, and the aperture goes a bit wider, which would be really nice right now.
