whoops...well anyways im looking for something that rips everything in the park...these are the brands i get a discount with so let me know what u guys think
It's been said many times before, but I would stay away from Salomon for at least one for year, just to make sure Salomon has fixed their durability issues.
Domains are so sick. I'll be riding them this year, they have zero camber underfoot (when you lie them on the floor with no weight, they're completely flat), 20% rocker, not that much, but just enough to give you some rise, pretty lightweight, low swing weight, and K2 is known for having bomber skis. I'd go with the Domains no question.
I'm not too sure if I would trust Salomon this soon, but k2 and line are extremely "legit" companies, their skis are durable, they have a wide range to pick from and they both have outstanding customer service
yea ive been skiing nothing but line for the past 7 or 8 years...i had the chrons from last year, but i really wanna check out this jib rocker k2 has now...i get this years models cheaper than last so the anthems are out
false.
typically bigger companies are worse with customer service.
plus customer service in the ski industry is kind of a joke. technically after you hit your first rail, box or other park feature that involves you sliding on your skis and your warranty is shot.
i havent ridden the domains but i do have a pair of k2 extremes and i can vouch for k2 that they are fucking bomber. youll get a little topsheet cosmetic damage but edges are solid and its pretty tough to get a core shot unless you ride over rocks. also, idk if the domain has it but i know the extremes have abs sidewall underfoot and it seems like it makes a big difference with increasing the life of the skis. you dont have to worry about cracking fiberglass sidewalls from landing on rails. id definetly go with k2
K2 has really stepped their game up. I can't wait to try a few pairs out this season. I can't stand Salomon. Line makes some good stuff but the graphics this year are horrible.
actually I have dealt with k2s warranty and they sent me a brand new pair of skis even though the damage was obviously from a rail. And I talk to schmies all the time when I have questions about my skis/warranty and hes always really chill and nice about it. And my brother has a pair of line skis and they seem very nice over there when he talked to them a few times. So from my point of view, big companies can afford to send out new skis even though it voids warranty because if you think about a huge company like k2, they sell snowboards, skis poles and much more. They stand behind their product much more than a smaller company would, and wouldn't want their reputation to go bad just because of that.
