How to make .gif smaller size.

I'm not really a CPU smart person.
I have a gif right now that I want as my icon. It is 50x50 pixels, but right now it's about 12000 mb(?)

it needs to be 8k.

How the fuck do i do that?

if you're using photoshop, hit file->save for web&devices, then fool around with the gif settings until you get it below 8k (128 vs 256 color sample, dither, etc)

download a GIF optimizer. its actions are similar to whats posted above, but i find it easier. just load a pic and choosr your optimization settings. it saves so much. thats what i do and im able to get a crapload of frames within the allotted 8kb...
