the whole point is that there are other forms of energy out there thats could provide tons of electricity if we had enough of it out there. yes, those squares probably represent miles, but if you were to throw the amount of coal, nuclear and other power plants together it would represent about the same space

If you can see the size of the wave power farms they propose....
They are only about the size of california-washington.......
LOL
Totally feasible Im sure..Im sure...
I've been on the net comparing sources of energy and the amount of power output and all I can say is solar is a very well...generous thing to do. But it is financially fucking retarded, power output/efficiency = shit.
Hundreds of acres, sure in vacant ass spots of new mexico and texas this is something that might make sense. But still think if that, you are taking hundreds of acres of land (how are you getting this land anyways?) and turning it in to big fucking solar panel yard. I mean if you are an environmentalist...you sure don't show it by paving over all that land with solar panels.
Nothing makes sense compared to nuclear or hydroelectric in terms of financially responsible and economical ways to get things done.
Green energy needs way...way more development.

i call bullshit on the solar power picture.
solar panels make a fucking miniscule amount of electricity.

Yup.
Look at that wikipedia post. Renewable energy produces "shit" for power, and it takes up too much space to produce any worthwhile power. Causing environmental destruction because you have to allocates hundreds or thousands of acres of land.
And then to top it off its expensive as fuck.
So in other words,
Solar power..is bullshit. Companies do this to look good...and thats it.
