Recently Folsom Custom Skis in Boulder, CO was kind enough to make these skis for me. They are normal camber underfoot and rockered tip and tail. The length is 205 cm and these bitches are durty. What yall think?
Yes specs are 150-125-140. It is symettrical rocker and flex. And yes, the ski graphic was entirely inspired by EP. I just wanted the first year bacons to come alive again!!!
Sry for the dub-post but I wanted to explain a bit more. This is a very similar ski to the JJ. Obviously its a bit longer, but the flex is similar. Im just a bit worried about someone stealing them at lunch. Gotta buy a lock.
Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I had a great experience with the guys at Folsom. I probably spend 4-5 hours total talking to them about what I wanted the ski to do. I must say, although they are a bit pricey, I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have a ski designed for you. I know these things are going to feel like an extension of my toes, just how it should be.
It is so great to hear that. That is the exact look I was going for! I love EPs work, so I collected all of my favorite peices of his and collaged. This isn't the actual Gambit pictured on the Folsom website. It is more symmetrical sidecut which up-ed the price tag from $1200 to $2200. I saved up for three months and I finally have them. Stokey McStoked.
