Anyway. There is way too much animosity in this thread. I am not running UFS this year like I was last year, mostly because I graduated in May.
Join whichever club you want, or join both..or join neither. Do whatever you feel suits you.
It seems to me that UFS does give more back to the skiing community, is cheaper to join, and generally does more ski movie premiers. I do also agree that UFS seems slightly outdated (probably in part because they market more towards the snowbird/alta crowd than the 18 year old Park City skier). It also seems to me that what DHMTB said is MOSTLY true, but probably should not have been stated in this thread as his intention was likely belligerent.
There is no reason for this thread to be so hostile though, it just leaves a sour taste in everyones mouthes. Skiing is about fun, so have fun at the U and stop being so vitriolic....especially eHeath and KyleA, your rancor is execrable. And DHMTB your opinion is for the most part substantiated but should likely be expressed elsewhere.
