Opteka x-grip

Hey NS i'm just getting into filiming and editing and I have found that tripods are very annoying to move around.I want something that is stable and convenient, and the x-grip seems like a good idea and would be great for filming runs.

i'm no sure if its worth 40$ though....

another concern I have is that my camera (sanyo cg10,I know its not to great) is not a low lying cam im not sure if it will fit properly

I need advice...

and i heard they are kinda shaky
but you can make one by like bending an old ski pole/other metal and using a 1/4" screw, and that way you can get a better balance and you know it will fit

what i did is I bought 2 corner L brackets from home depot, some nuts/bolts, a 1/4 inch bolt (or however big it was for my camera) and a few other supplies to make a handle and voila. Doesnt really sound good but if you want i can post pics. it works really well

i have it.
its pretty steady, but nothing amazing
used it with jvc mg130 and canon hf20 and the shots are pretty steady, just gotta know where to hold it. should be good for what you want and also im sure you can find a better place

you could always make one if you dont wanna pay that much and that way youll know it will fit ur camera
