So guys i need help importing my .MOV footage from my contourHD into Final Cut Pro 7. I understand it is not supported but i cant figure out a good way to convert it. I have used Compressor and it takes five minutes per 30 second clip and only does one at a time and imports properly... but then says i have dropped frames. Someone know how to fix this?
compress it with mpeg streamclip, should be faster and easier.
also have you tried editing with just the .mov format, by just dragging it into the timeline and then it automatically changes the sequence?
how do i find this so called "mpeg streamclip" sounds lovely. when i try to just drop it into the timeline it just doesnt respond. when i drag it to where the other clips are it has a "Error: Unknown File"
and im not to sure what you should compress it to, but a .mov file is just a quicktime file i believe, so ill just wait to see what some of the more seasoned editors has to say
