Anyone ever ride Bear Mtn or  Snow Summit?

yup - was there last xmas - went for a day on the 26th - super fun!! it's basically one big park.... and you'll be the only skiier there- all boarders.... but they basically just have features all over the place - cruise down a blue and there will be jibs and rails/boxes set up... some fun kickers too... can get MEGA busy though, so make sure you are there before the lifts open - the earlier you get there, the better you can park. We anticipated it being uber busy so went up at the crack of dawn, managed to park right next to the lifts... was a SICK fun day.

Plus from the top - SICK views across the desert to the East, over towards the Pacific and LA to the West.....

oh and i was talking about Bear - never been to snow summit, was told to swerve it - bear is where it's at.

Yeah i live in Big Bear just wanted to see if anyones ever been up here.  The all mountain skiers have died off basically just the homies now. Sucks but they changed the park up so much! Its more snowboard oriented which blows cause all the so cal bros get in the way hahaha.

yeah some of the lips etc onto features are weird - more board orientated.... but it's nice being the only skiier there for the day.

Totally full of bro's... people in the shine-iest new cool snowboard clothes and goggles.. ha

skied there several times last season, wayyyyy too many snowboarders on weekends and stuff, but its a ton of fun. Il be up there this season sparingly, shredding without a right acl :)

yeah basically they come up from LA looking for some  betties. The parks rails are better then most resorts ive been too but the jumps are just... awful. The biggest one was a 40 foot kicker with like a 30 foot take off. "Gambler" is what they called it. You lost all speed when going up it.soooo sketchy. But they have some sick urban type stupp and really unique jib setups. wish theyd work on jumps though.

is that the big kicker at the top next to the chair? single kicker? Yeah it's a bit sketch.... the line of 3 at the bottom is ok, if it's running quick..... they don't seem to maintain them too well.. i was only there for one day though...

the top kicker is decent... when maintained .the bottom 3 were alright but i just hate the shape.

I was there on the 26th of December, just after christmas and a snowfall... so i don't think it had been maintained... speed was tricky... but it's a great fun size... (im used to Breck kickers btw! ha.. so probably spoiled! )

I hit it open coat and cased -- bad, it felt like my ankles went through my shoulders. but yeah the jumps are weird at bear, really poppy and sketchy-feeling in general. great vibes at bear though, its one big party on snow
