Line afterbangs reveiws

I might be getting line afterbang skis and if any of you ride them or have rode them howd you like them? they looks sick and it sounds like the skate deck constrution is goona hold up well but iv herd the top sheet starts peeling a little bit.

my friend's didnt last through an entire season. They are cheap. good if you don't wanna spend too much, but they are not that durable.

id disagree on the durability. mine have survived a whole mess of beatings.  but the cheap part is true, which is good and bad. the good being that you save money for a ski with some really cool tech in it (butterzones, carbon ollie bands, symmetric shape, skatedeck construct/jimbo phillips art!). the bad being that the extruded bases can be suuuuper slow and dont hold wax too well

i demoed them a windells... i only had them for a week so i cant comment on the durability but theyre definetley cheap, they were pretty but really stiff

The bases are definitely my least favorite part of the ski, towards the end of the season I found myself waxing 2-3 times a week. Something to definitely think about if you don't wax your own skis.

I did get an edge dent towards the end of the season on one ski almost directly underfoot, it also bulged out the base a little. Not very stoked about it but I rode around on them for about 3 weeks with the dent and didn't notice it in the spring slush or when I was gripping a rail.

Otherwise I think they are a really fun ski, I don't find them stiff at all (5'10", 185lbs) and they were the first skis that I really felt comfortable pressing/buttering with (had OG AR5's and Watch Lifes before these.)

dissagree. Afterbangs are very durrable. espically the bases i was hitting a 17 stair and slid off about 7 steps in. rode down the other 10 with no snow and the steps i had no core shots just a little scrach on the tail. the only down side is the bases are not to good in the slush i waxed mine every day in the spring. but other than that id say get em!

My Afterbangs held up so well. Just watch the hands. The fiberglass stick out of the "top sheet" after a while.

Well, there is really no top sheet. Which is sweet because you don't have to worry about your whole ski being peeled away. Just small cuts.

I'm 5'10ish and 160 pounds and they are so buttery and smooth (177's).

Only downside is that on big jumps they can be scary in the backseat.

Not to mention they are ridiculously poppy. Awesome for rails.

mine fell apart. lost life rather quickly. the worst ski for jumps. decent on rails. heavy.

i'm looking at buying these too found a nice cheap pair online, there seems to be mixed reviews all over the place so i thought i might as well try them and if i don't like them...get something else lol

Really... there is so many thread on these ski's please, learn how to search... but overall point...

don't buy a ski on someone else's review... go ride it yourself or trust your judgement....

I rode the 166cm ones last season. They held up just fine, of course scratches on the top of the skis. But overall a great skis, i think it is a bit heavy though. Also i would wash out sometimes, but i think it is because i need a longer ski. I am gonna try and sell them for about buck 50 and get either last years 177, or this years 177. For the price you cant go wrong, what other skis will you find under 400?

Maybe you had a defective pair... I literally put mine through hell. I Rode rocks, pavement, and banged the hell out of them on rails. They just kept trucking through. I literally skied them every other night in my yard on everything from rails, boxes, and taps. Not to mention presses and butters out the ying yang. Still retained its shape, pop, and life. I will admit that jumps are difficult to ajust to with them. But it just made me a better skier when it came to jumps.

I'm not saying that your lying or anything, but gosh they were absolutely amazing and I almost have a hard time believing that they "died" on you.

they're not very light compared to anything armada, salomon, surface... and they're definitely not stiff..

i rode my friends and they felt pretty dead and soft. volkl walls are poppy and durable. if you're on a tight budget, just search around google shopping and find an 08 model of something for cheap, theyre usually the sam ski as the current model anyway

lets just say i wouldn't get them again,

they lost life pretty quick, and they squirrle out on jumps pretty easily. but i will say that they can talk quite a bit of abuse

if you dont mind spending a bit more cash, get a nicer pair of park skis, if you like symmetrical, go punx or wall
