Armada long fit jacket.

I saw in a shop today that there were some armada jacket who were long fit. unfortunately i couldnt try them on.

anyone know how tall they fit ( sizing chart ) ? If not, I'm gonna have to go back to this shop with my tape and try them on.

their size chart for 2010/2011 is on backcountry, here's the link to the jacket, then click the size link


These jackets are massive, S is taller than L saga, and as tall as armada's regular 2xl. I'm most likely getting the range jacket, i'm 5'8 and growing, and i'm probably going to get a S or M. I want a tall fit but not outrageous like a dress.

dub post, but armada posted on their FB page recently that you shouldn't size up with the tall fit jackets. Get your regular size, and they will fit like a larger size and will be nice and tall, but without the giant sleeves and extra width.

im 5'8"ish and the Large goes to my knees(right at the top of my kneecaps), this years armada is super legit.

holy cow, just bought a size L sample static jacket online, for an absolute steal of a price, anyone know the zipper length on 'er? I'm 6"0 but wasnt planning on this going to my knees!

i'm really skinny though and don't want it to be too wide like most L jackets are on me. I'm probably going to get M if i end up getting the range jacket.

i know im a bit late, but here is a pic of the Large Range (Delirium) coat with the Faid (cloud) paints. im 5'8"ish9 .this large coat goes just to about the top to middle of my knee caps. the xl coat went a touch past my knees and seemed to fit strangely for myself and i feel somewhat constricted if anything goes past my kneecaps) and the xxl was the same (but longer and just a bigger fit as expected).

there is the same Large coat and Large pant with a xxl fievel fleece under it.
(they are right about at the same length)

the only thing in that link that is useful to my thread is :

Long Fit
A common refrain among some team members was “not wider, just longer.” Our new Long Fit delivers, adding 4 inches of length to jackets/hoodies and 2″ of length to tech tees.

confusing, if his normal 2x is 34 and i measured my tall 2x at 33ish then that doesn't really make sense on how they described it in their explanation.
ill find a good tape measure and remeasure. it's hard to explain how long it is and how it fits by zipper measurements and without trying it on. for me it goes to the top to about the mid part of my kneecap. it'll prolly fit different for different body types (broad shoulders, height, etc)..

this may be a stupid question, but are all of the jackets long fit? Or is there a way to choose one of the long fit ones? Im asking because i looking at the ordering details and im only seeing s-xxl with no mention of a tall option.

the lorenzo zipper also goes up a bit higher than the other hoodies. most of their hoodies zippers go up to the neckline while the lorenzo goes up to the chin

im not so sure these measurments are right. I just checked my old emails because i emailed armada a while ago asking about their tall sizing and this was their reply:

Thanks for dropping us an email. We will have 2 jackets in the 10/11 outerwear line that will be “Long Fit” and they will be available in sizes S-XXL. The Range Jacket is a 2 layer shell and the Static Jacket is a 80 gram insulated shell jacket. Our Long Fit jackets are 5” longer than our Standard Fit pieces, which are 1” longer than a traditional standard fit. The zipper length on our XXL Long Fit jackets is approximately 41” in length. If you have any further questions please let us know. Thanks again

you size chart makes sense for hoodies, but the outerwear section is definitely wrong.
