What Football Position Should I Play?

I posted in the sports cult but whatever

I want to play my senior year with all my friends but I have no idea what position I'd play. Here's my stats.

I'm 16, 5'7" (sorta short I know) 146lbs and a medium build.

40 yard dash - 5 sec.
Bench - 171
Back-squat - 250
Leg press - 400
Deadlift - 321

I'm getting a gym membership soon so I can be as strong as possible and I'm pretty sure I'm starting a late second growth spurt (always tired, knees hurt, blah blah)

What the hell should I play?

free safety if you think you can hit. give it a shot see how it goes. Also ask a coach or your football friends

With your size, your best bet is maybe slot receiver or tight end for offense. Strong safety/outside linebacker for defense.

Offense: Your too short to be an effective QB, too slow to be an effective WR and too small to be a O lineman.

Defense: Your too slow to be a corner, too small to be a DLineman.

Not saying you can't have a great season or do well, just the options I provided are your best bet for success.

damn motherfucker you're slow. i'm 210 5'10 linebacker/fullback and i run a 4.6

but you should probably play saftey or corner/outside backer

and offense..nothing maybe a receiver

don't play, chill in the stands with all the girls and be the team's biggest hypeman. Go crazy with body paint and no shirts for everygame no matter the temp.

Corner back but you need to pick up your speed son or safety or wide receiver you just got to run a lot and get fast

At age 16 you're not really going to get much faster. In a mile run or 800 you can definitely pick up speed but in something as short as a 40 yard dash you're usually stuck near your original number. You can get your legs stronger but it will only increase your time by a little. Anyway I dont know much about football except that I want chris johnson and drew brees on my fantasy team. Anyways good luck on your season and if you decide to switch to soccer hit me up.
