My Parents are Die-Hard Repulicans

My parents are really republican and conservative. They watch nothing but FOX news and religiously follow Glen Beck and Bill O'Rielly. They probably would've gone to that rally if they could take off work. So my problem comes in here. I was driving in the car with them when they started talking about the rally, I said i thought it was pretty disrespectful and when i used reasoning they just stated that "MLK's niece supports it so it's okay" I kept on going on and my parents grounded me for two weeks. There's this huge rager tomorrow night for the end of the summer and I'm thinking about sneaking out,but is it worth it, or should i just talk my way into letting me go?

How old are you? Seriously... because if you are under 18 when your parent tells you to shut the fuck up you shut the fuck up. I don't know how you guys were raised but if I didn't shut the fuck up when told to I got slapped. You learn quick that way.


Oh, and if you are like 14-15 and are saying you brought up "valid points" they probably aren't all that valid. Al Sharpton even said today on O'Reilly's show that he was surprised about calm the rally was and said that him and others getting worked up over it were getting worked up for nothing.

The point is that the kid was told by his parents to drop it and didn't. The way I was brought up when you are told to do something you fucking do it.

Kids these days could learn a thing or two from the old fashioned you fuck up you get the slap or belt method.

If I had mouthed off to my dad like that even now at 21 I would have eaten a punch (he was a Golden Gloves Boxing champ in high school) and be kicked out of the house for a week.
