It's nine o'clock on a Saturday
Regular crowd shuffles in
There's an old man sitting next to me
Makin' love to his tonic and gin
He says, 'Son, can you play me a memory
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete
When I wore a younger mans clothes'
La la la, de de da
La la, de de da da dum
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright

thank you. i dont dislike you, but i have to draw the line when you start forcing 13 yr olds to break out their dictionaries. be laconic, be modest, and you can be my friend.

^Haha, you're one to talk about modesty. But I've stopped correcting people, as it seems to piss them off. If they listened, they'd be easier to understand, but I suppose that's a lost cause if noone wants to. Anyways, this is a dumb argument already.

punisher is the most badass, by far. And its not because i dont read books, its because punisher has been my favourite comic for years.
I would have to say the greatest fictional character must be Jesus, or The Adversary.

Krongos - for a painting, I think that I would have to with a surrealist, perhaps one of Dali's or Magritte's characters.
As for books Vardaman, Tom Sawyer, Haroun, Sydney Carton, Pip, Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, George & Lennie, Jay Gatsby, Santiago, and Wart.

^Haha A&P is a short story they make you read in english class. John Updike normally writes romance novels and stuff like that. For goo short storyage (not a word) read the Cask of Amontadillo, or the Rocking Horse Winner.

You're correct, I did read 'A&P' in my high school english class. I read it again in some of my college courses. It's a favorite of mine. You should check out some of Updike's poetry; it's pretty good. Then there's always Frost. Both are good New England writers.

The first was written by Poe, the second was DH Lawrence. Both are great. No better word for them.
