A quick word on blocking ads

I just got a new computer and i need to download more music but if i plug in my ipod it syncs it and deletes all the songs
luckily i have another ipod with the same songs so i was wondering if there was a way to move all the songs from my ipod touch to the itunes so when i add new songs it wont delete my old ones?
if any one can help that would be great thanks
