Let me preface this by saying that in no way am I a 'fanatic' I simply find it easier, and far more logical, to believe in a God who created this amazing world, than to belive that somehow, contrary to all the laws of Thermodynamics, it evolved from a single atom, or whatever version of the Big Bang you choose to believe.
Contrary to popular belief, evolution is NOT proven, and many great minds, including Einstein, cleary stated that they did NOT belive in Evolution. The issue of origins can be argued forever, and never come to a conculsion, because is not true science, it is based on belief. It takes far more faith to believe in Evolution than to belive in creation!!!
It really irks me when ignorant people show up on here spouting nonsense, and showing that they have not really though about this issue. UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE BIBLE, WITH AN OPEN MIND, HOW CAN YOU BASH IT??
The Bible is the oldest known piece of literature ever, and scholars have determined that the Dead sea scrolls, (over 3000 years old) are only slighly different with current translations. IF you have doubts theres an exhibit at the Museam of Civilizations,in Gatineau, Canada with these on display.
To the person who stated that he did not belive in the Bible due to lack of proof, such as Jesus' cross, I fail see the logic in that. Not only is the crucifixion a documented historical event,(read ANY secular Roman history book), how could a wooden cross last for 2000 years to be found by us??? ditto for Noahs ark...wood rots away! there is a scientific explanation for EVERYTHING in the Bible.
This is far more than can be said for evolution!!! Not only are theories changing on a daily basis, but there has never been a proof of evolution found!!! NO transitonal Forms have EVER been found, that were agreed on by all evolutionists. There has been much controversy on this issue, if has NEVER been resolved.
Now for the ever popular carbon 14 dating. This is notoriously unreliable, as it assumes that the Carbon atoms leave the system at a constant rate. How are we to know that past extremes of heat or cold could not have changed that rate?? I have seen samples from MT Saint Helens that were dated as millions of years old when in reality they were only 40 or so!
Finally, the dinosaurs.... the Bible talks about the dinosaurs! Read the book of Job...it clearly mentions massive land reptiles who could only be dinosaurs! I belive there was a global flood that eradicated many of the large animals who were too big or to escape from the water or unable to cope with the sudden climate change......this is consitant with the fossil record, and the Bible. This explains mass burials, how some dinosaurs have been found with undigested food in their stomachs.....
Now I know this post will not change any minds i just hope it makes people think. I'm not a scientist, Im a ski bum, Im sure there are lots of you out there who are far more intelligent than I. I simply have done a lot of thinking on this issue, and hope that others will do the same. DONT SIMPLY ACCEPT WHAT EVERYONE TELLS YOU!!!! KEEP AN OPEN MIND, THINK FOR YOURSELF!!!
Just realize that you are having faith in soemthing...I find it easier to put my faith in God than in some series of billions of accidents that stemmed from some magical atom.
