The Squire by Marker

New binding by marker this year, introduced as a lighter comparison to the Griffion, have yet to even go look at it but it advertises as a very lightweight binding. Any info on this would be great. I'm looking to put it on my Line Afterbang's

im 5'9 160 and rode the griffons on my chronics last year and they were fine for me. I have fairly strong legs thouh, but i dont see it being much of a problem.
4frnt Deadbolts are really light plus you can get them in limited edition tie die this year sooooo thats pretty gnar

yeah the only thing is on bindings i'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment, so i'm trying to get something under 200, and the griffons are a bit out of my reach, otherwise I would grab them. But thanks for your suggestion on the Deadbolts. I was thinking about getting some Deadbolt 12's as well but the squire caught my attention

I wouldn't do it...anyone over like 5'3" and 115lbs shouldn't ride a binding under a 12 DIN for park - they will destroy them way too easily.

Deadbolts are running at 12 din, i don't know what i usually set my din at haven't adjusted in months. But i don't want a binding that is just going to break and wear out in a matter of a season or 2

You'll be fine at a 12 DIN, you could even go up to 14 (but they're more expensive) cause most of them start at around 5.

I personally had pre release issues with my griffons but once I moved up to the jesters I didnt anymore. Im 5'10 and 150 pounds. I didnt have any durability issues aside from the brakes bending super easy. I would go with the griffons over the squires just because I think they will be way to lightwaait for you. I may be wrong though because I havent ridden them ( then again neither has many ). Good luck

got to check them out at US outdoor store yesterday, holy shit are they light, and holy shit they look like I would make them explode after 1 run

if you are under 110lbs, you MIGHT be fine, over that, get soemthing else

Yeah i was looking at getting the deadbolt 12's or maybe the fisher X11 http://www.getboards.com/products/Fischer-X11-Ski-Bindings.html is what they look like, they  look pretty dope a lot more durable.

just go with the Griffions, they are more expensive but they are a more proven binding and you have to option to take your D.I.N up a higher for the bigger kikers if you are spending 75% of your time in the park. it is also the binding that you will see a lot of in the park wether it be jibbers or dudes hittin 80 foot kikers

i would never hit an 80ft kicker on griffons, if you ski hard at all you do not ride a 12 din binding, its pretty well known fact

Yeah I've heard good stuff and then terrible stuff about griffins, you eather love them or hate them. My friend has a pair and says its not a great binding for park due to the  flimsiness of the structure.

you also have to take into account your skill level, and be honest. There is no need to risk your knees with 15 bindings when you are only hitting 25 footers.

Exactly my park is almost 95% rails there are really only 3 kickers biggest being about 35

Alright right now i'm getting some PX 12's i went to my local shop and the squire isn't going to cut it. It looks so flimsy and not durable at all,
