Vanishing files

So i have a macbook and I'm pretty unorganized in my saving of stuff. usually i just use the spotlight to find stuff but recently ive had things disappear completely. one was a file with hundreds of pictures and another with a few photoshop files that i had put tons of work into. so if you have anyidea on how to get those back or something thatd be great thanks

if they are deleted then u cant recover them unless you backup all your shit.

yeah well i found the ps files so its not a big deal anymore i thought i deleted the thread but whatever
