I found a car I like on CL. I am going to have a mechanic look at it. If that goes well, how should I go about the transaction? Cash, certified check, does that matter? Should I have a witness and if so who since I assume a friend won't work as one? They say it has a clear title, how do I verify that? Do I have to sign it over to me? Anything else I should know?
