This is how see it

Weed, for me is a culture/meditation thing. Its my own choice to toke or not to toke. But there are limits. I dont toke in front of kids, cops or people who are not cool with it. Its a respect thing, I always ask a non smoker if its cool if I toke, and if they have questions, I answer them as straightforward as I can. Of course, the more I toke, the more funny things I blur out. I will NEVER force someone to smoke weed if they dont want to.

When I toke alone, its to relax, concentrate and meditate. It spends time and I get a lot of thinking out of it. Or I use it as a challenge. When I go DH biking, it ups the difficulty. Same goes with running or any other extreme sport that does not require technique oriented thinking (climbing). Most people I hang out with dont smoke weed, but they are ok to the idea of me getting high. They know how it changes me and some take pleasure listening to me. Some on the other hand have no idea when Im high.

That's cool, I personally don't smoke or drink very much at all, but still think weed and alcohol should be flipped, but I know it would never be able to happen. I spend my money on fun things.

I used to toke a bunch, but it's just not quite for me. It does some funny stuff with my brain, and I'd rather be clear minded. But I'll definitely say it was worth trying out, and helped my life for the better in some ways.

So in relation to this thread using that justification, the only people I judge on smoking/not smoking are those who refuse to try it because of some ignorant point of view, and those who treat weed like it's god's plant and anyone who doesn't smoke it is an uptight ignorant dumbass. Both extremes are annoying. Anything in the middle is the same. Different strokes for different folks, it's not my problem if someone smokes or not.

my main rule is i do not peer pressure anyone into doing it, if they dont want to smoke they dont have to its their choice, i feel like this is a fairly common mentality for the ones that do smoke as well. if the kids agree to smoke its up to them, if not than its fine with us, more for me

I dont mind people who smoke weed. I mean, im positive that alchohol can put you and others is more danger than weed can, so I really dont mind. Its actually more pleasant talking to someone who is stoned.

I used to smoke a lot, but I personally don't like being wicked high, so I don't really smoke anymore. I don't care if people smoke around me at all, but it bothers me to no end when people think they're better because they smoke. I also can't stand when people brag about how much they can smoke, how often the smoke or the quality of weed they usually smoke.
I don't brag about how often I drink, how much I can drink or what my drink of choice is, so please don't brag about your toking habits.

anyone who tries to make you feel bad about not participating in a behavior like smoking weed is really only trying to make themselves feel ok with participating in said habit.

I def. do this when i'm at a party and meet someone who doesn't drink. Its a subconscious, "What is wrong with me, why can't I have fun without drinking?"

But it usually comes out, "Why are you such a bitch?"

Nothing wrong with it. Smoked for like 5 years everyday and it was great. Had to quit for medical reasons, would still smoke if I could. Not a big deal, Im fucking high anyway these days.

I don't know what weed you smoked but usually for the rest of the world you just go with it and don't worry. Mountain biking skiing, everything is more effortless.

Why would you smoke in front of a cop anyway? And people who don't smoke asking a whole bunch of detailed questions. What do they possibly not know about marijuana that you have in your encyclopedia mind?

OP- ya its chill.  Nobody's ever going to force you to smoke weed, or buy it for that matter.  P.S. not everybody who smokes burns all their lettuce on weed.

  The reason I smoke weed is primarily to relax.  It also opens up creativity and I find skiing/painting to be even more fun.  Its not that either of these activities require weed, weed just seems to allow me to explore possibilities I might have otherwise missed.
