it can be bad for you, if you are going to be schizophrenic later in life marijuana triggers the same parts of the brain as schizophrenia (the reason you get more paranoid when your baked as shit) so it can trigger schizophrenia at an early age if you smoke it, also from that video posted, rats younger than the equivalent to 15 years old who were tokers had permanent memory loss when they were adults, where as rats who started toking after 15 had no memory loss at all, so toking daily when your 11 is not a good idea, but if your doing that your 90% gunna be a fuckup anyway.....

Why do the fucking kids on this site care so much about weed? If you smoke it, great. If you don't, then that's fine too.

Everyone is going to react differently to the drug. If you need it to relax or see things clearer, then thats fine, it isn't going to do that for everyone. It might make some people less productive and intelligent and it might make some people more productive.

There are people who smoke, and if you were to meet them you wouldn't be able to tell. There are also people who smoke and if they were to die, the world would be better off without. There are also people who don't smoke, and are better people for it. Just as there are people who don't smoke and are fucking idiots.

Re-read what you just wrote and tell me where people get the impression stoners are idiots. I'm not talking about the content of what you wrote, just the way in which you wrote it. But that's alright, use the excuse that it's an internet forum and you don't give a damn.

No one is forcing you to smoke weed, nor should they be. It is your body and your decision. You are not better than anyone else because you do or don't smoke. Get off your fucking high horses and stop worrying about what other people do. It isn't your problem.

Stop wasting bandwidth, you're all beating a dead horse.

I've done a fair amount of research on the subject because I'm very interested in schizophrenia. It's difficult to tell whether it's correlation or causation. Often people start smoking and experimenting with psychedelic drugs at around the same time schizophrenia manifests itself. Also, unbiased studies are very difficult to find because of the illegality of these drugs.

Is this number out of your fucking head man? Maybe 10% at MOST are losers and dumb. But you have to remember even at that number, that 10% was dumb before they even started smoking. Within my group of friends about 1 out of 15 people were dumb before they started smoking. The other 14 people are all straight A student's and participate in school sports. Losers my ass.

Some of you guys are fucking stupid. Any smoke is bad for your body, cigarette smoke, marijuana smoke, bonfire smoke, you name it smoke is bad for your lungs period. Get your heads out of your asses thinking that marijuana smoke or any other kind isn't harmful to your body. It probably won't kill you but it will definitely eventually effect your lungs. If your some stoner allstar xcountry runner, good for you nobody cares because smoke has the same effect on your lungs as everyone else it just may not set in as fast.

your ignorant. i know plenty of people who smoke weed pretty much everyday and still maintain over a 3.0 gpa, better than lots of americans. they also start varsity football at a school with over 1500 students. having no respect for people who smoke is way more stupid than smoking

Number 1 and 3 in my class smoked weed all the time and all my best friends smoke alot, but i only smoke a couple times a week. People that say potheads are useless people are fucking retarded and there just pissed cause they have no social life more or less. You can have friends who smoke, you become friends with people by the way they are and if you get along with them, not "oh he/she smokes pot everyday there just a burnout." my friends who smoke every day wanna go out and do shit all the time and my friends who don't smoke wanna hang around and be anti-social

no one should care whether you smoke or not. Also, people who do smoke should respect people who don't and not try to force it on them...or spend every goddamn minute talking about it. Sometimes I feel like that's why people hate stoners or potheads...they never shut up about it. Just smoke it, enjoy it have fun but don't take on the stupid rastafarian lifestyle shit or any of that unless you're out to truly understand it (look it up, chances are they don't want you pretending to be one of "them"..look it up and you'll know why)

Anyway, a lot of my friends still smoke, which I obviously think is fine. I just wish there wasn't so much hate between people who smoke and people who don't. And try, just one time to go on a hike or ski something crazy or something not high...and try to feel the life high. go back and smoke a bowl or whatever when you're done...but try to feel the high that just being in a happy place and living life can give you...you know that tingly feeling when you just walk across the floor sometimes or the chills you get down your spine with goosebumps.

i tried smoking a few times in high school and then didn't for 2-3 years. lately (like the last 6 months) i have about once a month.

I wouldn't say it's really a pattern though...and i wouldn't really say i smoke, it's just not really my thing i suppose. it can be fun though, so if i happen to be around it and someone offers it to me then there's the rare occasion that i'll smoke but i just like having fun sober more

I don't smoke, know PLENTY of friends that do. some are kinda retarded, and others get smarter, honestly who cares if you smoke or not. The only thing i hate the most about people who do it is they brag about it like they're the shit. dude, shut up and just do your thing no one really cares that you smoke all the time and you do this and that and its hilarious. Anyways I'm chill with pot just try not to make it sound like you're cooler than people who don't smoke.

ABSTRACT

Although the ability to perform complex cognitive operations is assumed to be impaired following acute marijuana smoking, complex cognitive performance after acute marijuana use has not been adequately assessed under experimental conditions. In the present study, we used a within-participant double-blind design to evaluate the effects acute marijuana smoking on complex cognitive performance in experienced marijuana smokers. Eighteen healthy research volunteers (8 females, 10 males), averaging 24 marijuana cigarettes per week, completed this three-session outpatient study; sessions were separated by at least 72-hrs. During sessions, participants completed baseline computerized cognitive tasks, smoked a single marijuana cigarette (0%, 1.8%, or 3.9% Delta9-THC w/w), and completed additional cognitive tasks. Blood pressure, heart rate, and subjective effects were also assessed throughout sessions. Marijuana cigarettes were administered in a double-blind fashion and the sequence of Delta9-THC concentration order was balanced across participants. Although marijuana significantly increased the number of premature responses and the time participants required to complete several tasks, it had no effect on accuracy on measures of cognitive flexibility, mental calculation, and reasoning. Additionally, heart rate and several subjective-effect ratings (e.g., "Good Drug Effect," "High," "Mellow") were significantly increased in a Delta9-THC concentration-dependent manner. These data demonstrate that acute marijuana smoking produced minimal effects on complex cognitive task performance in experienced marijuana users.

dude. my parents have smoked weed and now smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. my brother has done weed and smoked cigarettes since he was 16, and my entire skate crew smokes there face off. iv skated with them while there high and they have asked me multiple times to smoke with them.
but seeing what alcohol and cigarettes (yes i know that that is different than weed) i have crossed off any drug or alcohol from my life.

In the Madrid study, THC was found (by direct injection into tumors) to kickstart a process in cancerous cells where the cells essentially self-digest.

The information regarding the study was confiscated by the government, and subsequently destroyed.

Weed can be fun, but if you decide to do it, be very careful. I've watched it consume my friend's lives and lead to things way more potent and way more dangerous than just the occasional bowl.

Currently, I don't smoke. Used to, but now I don't primarily cus I got caught/get tested. I'm not gonna say don't smoke weed, It can turn a good night into a great one, but I think some people walk a very narrow path with weed. once in a while turns into every weekend. every weekend turns into weekdays too. It then becomes a daily habit and eventually some people want a new, better high. I've known several people who have died on that new high. I've seen the union and for the most part, alot of it is true, for some people at least.

So if you ever do start experimenting with dope, which many of you probably will, be cautious of how it affects your life. It really can change your life for good or bad.

I don't smoke. I used to be against it, but I haven't mainly because its never interested me. I guess it's kind of for moral reasons as well. I don't think that 90% of marijuana users are losers though, I have some good friends who smoke marijuana and they seem pretty chill to me.

A vape is a way of smoking that's essentially smokeless. It's achieved by heating up the weed to a temperature at which the THC (the active chemical) turns from crystal to vapor with out burning the plant. When you inhale, you get pure THC vapor that gets you really stoned and gives you a good high...and it's smokeless because none of the plant is burned, just heated.

This is nothing raceist i think canadians just have a diffrent perspective on weed. a survey done in all highschoolers in quebec and i belive the country showed that 87% of sutdents smoke weed on a weekly basis
