I'm not gonna ask you to reply, but I will rebut (lol butts) your statements above:
"I just want people to know that this was intended to be a non-politcal rally to restore honor to armed forces and the values that America was founded upon. And that chart above is rediculous. Glen Beck was not trying to prove that he is superior to MLK. You dont have to agree with what was said there, and you dont have to like the people at the rally. Not everyone who doesnt share your views is an "idiot.""
Non-political? Palin, Beck, King, and the Conservative party were all explicitly invited to speak and attend a "non-political rally" to restore honor to America? Don't believe it for a second. Glenn Beck and his role in the Tea Party, the location, and the clear nature of the speeches were by definition, political. Now, you may not want to come to terms with this, but the fact that Christian family values and War support are tenets of the Conservative party doctrine are undeniable. The fact that this woman and Beck were cheered for supporting and urging members to "bring God back to America" is frightening. Extremely. Frightening. Why? Because according to these Conservatives, "God" means no protection for minorities from the government against bigots and hate-crimes, I can't get married, they want to make sure rape victims keep their babies, and they want to tax less, and redistribute our national wealth to increase Defense when it is not needed.
They support the possibility of denying children of immigrants citizenship if they're born here, support teaching the Bible in schools, and are going to destroy our foreign relations a la Bush.
The fact that they want religion to be the centerpiece of the new nuclear American family should frighten you enough.
I'm not calling anyone an idiot. I don't think Beck is an idiot, but that party is going to destroy America.
