October 14-17,2010 at the better living centre, exhibition place. That seriously took all of five seconds to google haha. I know ill be definetly attending.
I went a long time ago And I remember there was a jump/airbag kinda thing people were sessioning. Anyone know if its going to be there this year and how you get to hit it?
Yeah man its going to be happening from October 14th-17th at the Better Living Centre at the CNE in Toronto! There will be more info available on the website soon! Its www.torontoskishow.ca
Ya not open to the public, I always looked forward to the show because of the good deals and such but the last few years have been pretty lame. I would prefer to buy hardgoods from my local shop because the deals are not even that much better at the show.
Last year sucked in terms of outerwear/ski gear. Also the blade/bmx/skate show thing was kinda weak but there was some really good deals on clothing from a few booths.
Bang on. I remember going every year when each company had a booth and I could check out all of the best new gear in one spot and talk to reps from each company. I was able to see all the gear that was never carried in Toronto and learn more about all the gear from the guys who know it the best. Now it's all about resorts and retailers selling new/old gear. They also usually have a screening room that shows on a constant rotation new ski/board flicks which is a bonus.
yea last two years i worked it and i think head was the main company that was there showing off their line, maybe 1 or 2 smaller companies but not much at all.
years past i remember all the big guns being there
i worked the show for 6 years prior to this year and i stayed as far away as i could this year. even now that im out of the retail game, i can't bring myself to pay money to buy stuff. in all those years, head was the only company that was there. it's been alomst 10 years since a lot of heavy hitters have shown up with their lines.
there's a reason though. the ski show is now a dumping ground for previous years' product. the companies realize this and decided there are better ways to spend their marketing dollars.
