How important is the look of your skis topsheet for you?
i'm getting 2011 thalls, which i decided kind of a while ago. and when i saw the topsheet for the first time, i was actually pretty bummed because i was heart set on that ski, but didn't like the topsheet and was going to get it anyway. however, after looking it up and staring at it online for the past month i have come to love the topsheet ironically. but i like the ski because of the specs, not the look.
This, if I was stoked on a ski but not the graphic it wouldn't change my mind. But if I was on the edge between two skis that were pretty similar, I would pay maybe 20 bucks for the ski with the top sheet I liked more.
Topsheet isn't that important, but a nice one is always a plus. I bought 07 invaders, which aren't exactly the prettiest skis, but they sure are fun. And after a while I learned to love the uglyness.
there are a ton of topsheets i think look pretty cool and i wouldnt mind having. obviously there are some that are awesome but i dont think it changes anything when buying a ski. i might consider another ski if the ski im looking at has a REALLY bad graphic though
I know people who will absolutely not get an awesome ski because they don't like the top sheet...it's really not that important, I'm going to get the best ski for me, no matter what it looks like - if it looks sick, then that's a plus.
