Why is Shaun White hated?

I Feel like shaun whites hate bandwagon is so huge that its gravitational pull, pulls everyone on.  why is he hated? is it because he is a super competitive dude in a sport whose roots are rebellious, pot smoking ski, skate, and surf bums? Is it jealousy because he gets paid soo much?  Is it because he is the face of snowbaording, and is marketed as the GOAT? 

I am just curious what the actual, specific reasons why people hate him so much are? and why that trait, or example cause you to hate him

i never said anything about shaun being, or not being a cool dude. i have never met shaun white. as much as i would like to believe those story's about "my dad's sisters best friends dog groomer saw shaun white in the park once and he snaked her in the jump line" stories, i really cant. he might be a cool guy, he might be a douche. i didnt say anything either way. frankly, i dont give a fuck either way.

i do know that i have read his interviews, i have seen the T.V. specials, i have heard from HIS mouth that snowboarding is not his passion. he likes to play guitar. he likes to skate. snowboarding? no. if he truly loved snowboarding he would give back the sport in a hands-on way. not just expecting his fame to do the work for him. as a snowboarder, i cannot respect him. as a person, i cant judge.


this thread is fucking retarded. who the fuck cares about shaun white anyways?

i think the reason everyone hates him is because he doesnt have a posse, like the frends crew, and hes a seemingly one dimensional rider, because you only see him do pipe, when in reality, hes not a half bad rail rider.

i dont hate the person shaun white. I hate the image of him. everybodys like ooooooo shaun white, hes the best. hes good but its like theres no other riders out there. whatever he does, everyone does. Take how obsessed everyone is with wallisch and multiply it by 100000000000000. Thats why he sucks.
