Neither, Gears of War has the most equal and fair multiplayer and the most difficult campaign but if I really had to choose, I am quite partial to the Halo series while I really am not a COD fan.

I wholeheartedly agree, it was WAY more difficult to beat on Veteran then MW2(most simple fucking game ever plus the maps sucked dick.)

halo 1 and 2 were pretty epic, ill give cod the award for best campign because its fucking sick, but halo 3 beats cod in multiplayer, it takes skill to be a high level halo 3 guy but cod you just have to play a lot. and cod is who can camp the best and pray and spray. seriously next time you play cod just think about those 2 things and you'll realize its true

I've played both quite a bit, and in my opinion, Halo takes way more skill, therefore I like it a lot more. It's too bad I have a PS3 now.

i loved halo 2 =)... so many things to do on every map... u could get out of em glitch em it was sooo fun

but i would have to say i liked the halo story better then cod but i liked cods controls and gameplay better than halo

Every single halo game to come out has been pretty epic. While COD's can be hit or miss. I think overall the halo series > COD hands down but MW2 has prob the best single game if you compare the two series together.

only person here making any sense.

All of CoD's multiplayers are stupid and imbalanced (CoD 2 is an exception). The idea of unlocking guns is stupid. The whole game depends on what guns/perks you have, it takes no skill.

Halo 1 is by far the least clunky of the 3 and takes a lot more skill than 2, or 3.

Halo 2 is great, because they added the br, the glitches take skill (BXR, BXB, ect) and an all around polished game.

Halo 3 has terrible hitboxes, laggy all the time, and very clunky.

Story-wise Halo is 135414754890081257x better than CoD, there's no arguing that.

Fun wise they are both pretty fun, i usually like Halo better though because all players are on an even playing field so it really shows who is better.

sparknotes: CoD is stupid, Halo 1 is the best because its the most balanced, Halo has a better story and is all around more fun

to expand on this- growing up halo 1 campaign was soo much fun, i loved the story line and played it alot, halo2 was really great to but by the time halo 3 came out i was sorta out of video games..

i didnt like the cod campaign's at all compared to halo, but i had a lot more fun on the online play when i wasn't with friends

Halo. The first one had some amazing single player and the multiplayer was fucking amazing even though it was long before online gaming started. CoD feels like a rehash ever since the second one.

MW2- hands down- any college male has that game- ie when bored at school its the ultimate way to pass the time- plus the shit talking is incredible- and for me that makes the game even better

I'm going to get shit on here, but I really don't like the Halo games.  I've played all of them, and while I do think that the online was fun and the campaigns were challenging and fun to play with a friend, I could never come back to them because I just hate the whole outer space sci-fi genre. It ruined the games for me, and since that's what the games are based on, I could never really enjoy them that much. MW and MW2 have been the only shooter games that I've ever played consistently, and I enjoyed both of them far more than the Halo series. 

So...

Forza 3/Skate 3 > COD > Halo for me
