What do you think, is this too ghetto fabulous to work? Or just the right amount of ghetto fabulous to be perfect?
I threw my GoPro flat mount onto a piece of wood, using the sticky pad and also two screws, countersunk to be flush with the top of the mount. That piece of wood is then glued to a 1/2 inch PVC 90 degree elbow, attaching it to a 1/2 inch PVC pipe.
By using PVC, the whole setup is extremely light, and you can easily attach a shovel handle onto the end if you want to hold it that way. You can also easily extend the pole if you want to (mine is 2 feet long now, might get a 2.5 footer to get a little bit of a better view.
Took about 20 minutes to put together and cost less than $1.50. 79 cents for the pipe, 25 cents for the elbow.
