Honestly, Hitler's actions did wonders for Germany economically. He found a common cause for Germans to unite around (unfortunately it happened to be genocide on multiple fronts), provided a demand for jobs (war production), and made Germany the absolute cutting edge in new technology (they had the atom bomb almost finished when the Russians got into Germany, and again, they caused Einstein to flee the country). It's incredibly unfortunate that Hitler was such a nut job and the Holocaust was the worst humanitarian disaster of at least the last 500 years, but the man was a political and economic mastermind.
