guys... what's the deal

Ok so here's the issue: my roomate met this guy like a month ago, has gone out with him a 4 times. Last night he took her out to a super fancy dinner. they've made out a little but that's it. they've never talked about whether they're 'together' or not. so are they going out or what? and is he ever gonna bring it up or is it up to her? why are guys so complicated?
oh ya and she's 18 hes 21 if it makes any difference.

first of all it sound slike your talking about urself and too embarrased to say it, secondly if its not you why dont you just ask your roomate im sure she has a better idea than anyone on thsi site.

Yes, fancy dinners suggest that they are. Why is this so hard to figure out? I'm thinking there's something you're not telling us, and you probably don't want to post it on the internet. You probably won't get a much better idea on here no matter what everyone says, especially considering the type of people who make up the majority of this site.

Yea non of us can really give you a conclusion on your friends relationship... it differs in every person how they feel about a relationship.... my friend went out on dates with the same guy for a year before he actually asked her out. it'd probably be better to let the relationship play out before you get all worried about titles and shit

Basically if either one isnt hooking up with anyone else, they talk more than 3 times daily, and they hang out with each other all the time I would consider that being together. When you get older you dont have to verbally tell someone you are together its just more implied by their actions. If the girl doesnt think they are dating then odds are things between them must not seem like they are at a relationship level yet. Thats just my opinion though.

why are guys so complicated...what??...girls are the most complicated.....if your roomie wants to know what the deal is or what this guy is thinking of things the she needs to be upfront and ask him...a lot of times guys don't ask cuz they're hoping that the girl will, it's easier that way...and if he hasn't asked then maybe he hasn't asked for a reason...there are too many factors and possibilities to consider...just be straight and upfront with it all...nice dinners and hanging out definitely reflect some level of interest so go from there...

if he's taking her to dinners and they're not doing it and it doesn't look like they will be anytime real soon, yeah he's probably looking for a girlfriend, just get her to ask him if he's seeing anyone else, he'll say no and she says so then are we exclusive? and he'll probably say ya.
