i just got a new imac and i was wondering if i am just starting to edit if the imovie is good enough or should i get the upgrade, +k for bumps and info

for now learn imovie in and out know everything that you can do and then step it up and then learn the next level and the next level basically like a ladder just keep growing.

Basically what that guy said, become an expert in imovie then buy a legit program such as Final Cut Express.

Its the older version of iMovie that is better than the new one in almost every way... It has a timeline and in general is much easier to use.

personally, get final cut express(buy it, torrent it, whatever), there are some great tutorials online on the apple site, you can get as basic or complex as you want

I just started editing with imovie yesterday. It seems pretty basic, but the more I read online, I am finding cooler stuff about it.

from personal experience i would say, learn to use imovie perfectly its actually a very very good editing software if you find the hidden gems of it, and then just skip fce and go onto either final cut pro or adobe premeire
