What skiing has done for you physically

I want to know what skiing has done for you strength wise and has it helped you excell in school sports and improved your health (obviously). It just popped into my mind because all summer i've been going to the gym to do cardio, legs, abs , arms ect. I Need to get in shape for those long Big Mountain compitition, shitty-snow-runs that's a killer on my legs.
My friends are shitting brix because i can leg press 750LBS. (800 on a good day). Skiing has also helped me on my speed. I'm a really good sprinter/distance at track.
I'm 5'9/153lbs/16 years old.

I tore my acl, but before that, I had very strong legs. Not sure how how much I could squat or whatever, but all I know is I could hike like a mad man in waist deep pow all day before, and I'm well on my way to getting back to my previous form. One month left 'til we're cleared to ski...

I was up at 213 a while back, bloated as fuck and happier than a pig in shit. My weight entirely revolves around football, if it was purely aesthetic, I'd be happy to cut down to 180-185. I think that's where I'd look best.

skiing has made me a cocky, obnoxious douchebag. oh, but physically, being a skier has contributed to the frequent removal of my shirt and the posting of unwarranted half-naked pictures of myself on the internet to further a point that nobody cares about.

but seriously, my left thumb is no longer double jointed. that's pretty much it, but i haven't been skiing for that long.

skiing doesnt help me at all except for the fact that i sweat more than any other activity when i ski. however im not the most athletic person to begin with.

since i started skiing, i'v stayed in decent shape...
ever since i'v started park, i'v been in better shape
but the biggest improvment is my balance and general coordination

no fancy injuries though.
