How can i tell if my boots are to small?

my toes are scrunched up barely, but my liners arnt packed out yet. should i bump up a size. or stick with em. i have salomon spk kaos's

a good way to tell is from one of the tech talk vids. you take your liner out and put your foot just inside the shell. you try to see home many fingers you can fit behind your foot. if you can squeeze 2 or 1 1/2 in than they are about the right size. but anything less than 1 you defiantly need a bigger size.

Dude if they aren't packed out yet they're probably perfect, or maybe even a bit big... New boots are "supposed to fit like a firm handshake" according to the how to buy boots sticky. You don't want them to fit comfy right when you buy them.

definitely check your shell fit like the sticky shows. do that first before you do anything.

i did the shell test and i could fit 1 and almost two fingers in so im good. its just that my right is almost an inch longer than left. soo it sucks for boots...

I think if you aren't absolutely positive that your boots are too small, then they aren't too small. I bought boots that fit perfectly when they were new when I was young and dumb, and by the time the liner packed out they were way too big. If you can possibly tolerate them on your feet then don't go any bigger.
