I AM SO FUCKING STOKED FOR SKI SEASON!!!!!!!!!!! I love when people get dustings, it gets me pumped up! And when tahoe gets its first one of the season... I could explode!

The first dusting in Maryland last year was late November.  The first snowstorm was right before Christmas.  My local mountain got 20 inches of snow.  But because they're fucking retarded, they groomed the slopes.  I went to ski the day after, and there was maybe 150 people there.  I hate MD/PA.

... It gets cold enough in the rockies to snow year round at night. Never cold enough to stick, so it doesn't really count.

However, Colorado got it's first legitimate snowstorm last year on September 21st:
