okay, then i will be fair and tell the whole story.

i purchased Surface Nine Lifes direct from the manufacturer in january of this year. i rode them for FOUR days (two days at Stevens Pass, two days at Schweitzer, both know for having top notch features and parks overall in the PNW) and after the four days were up i had about 5 inches of missing edge between the two skis.

i emailed Surface, i called Surface, i tried to contact everyone that i could, but it was no use. because my skis had "rail damage" they refused to warranty them.

All I'm saying, and have been saying, is a single persons experience shouldnt brand the entire ski model or company. I can understand where you're coming from and I'd be frustrated and pissed off too, but at least be a little fair.

OP, the fucking point is no one knows what they're talking about.

my nine lifes were complete pieces of shit, there is no debate there.
but guess what? i guarantee you within the next five posts someone will come in saying they love Surfaces cock in/around their mouth and Surface is the only ski they will ever buy and they're Watchlifes have 52439875627834652 days on them and they look brand fucking new.

just buy your own god damn ski. whichever one you think looks the coolest. the only benefit to Surface is their price.

if he's asking about the nine lifes and they are known to have problems..... why would somebody bring up watch lifes? i've got a pair of green lifes but i haven't mentioned shit about them and how much i like them.

he asked about info for the 9 life. you have given your 2 cents on the matter. i think thats all that really needs to be said.

because for some reason people think if one model is durable, it extends across the entire brand.
and if you knew much of anything you would realize that the Watchlives were very much the precursor to the Nine Lifes.

the 08/09 and before watch lifes were the precursor to the nines maybe... i owned a pair of 08/09 and rode the living shit out of them for 2 seasons. but they didn't have nearly as bad as a reputation as the nine lifes had.
