Need Help with new cam

well im about to sell my vx1 setup so im thinking either a Dvx100a or b, or an hmc40 or maybe even a fx7 but i was also lookign for suggestions, my price range is 800-1200 used i just really want to know what would be the best cam for me, i film boarding, skiing, and skating i also do short films, i was also thiking about trying dslr filming
