Hornbeck has made shuffles the it trick of 2010/11

Hornbeck doing shuffles in the jiberish movie. Just watch, so many kids will be getting them on lock this season! Personally i will too cause i think they are sick!

Progression of the Shifty.....   and unique style....  emphasis being on unique. Delorme / Hornbeck... - who needs dubs and trips and shit when you have that style - leave the crazy flips to JO and Sammy etc.... leave the pure style to Delorme / Hornbeck.  Here is where the division in park skiing is going to occur, between the comp skiiers and the segment skiiers generated by the need to land the most tech tricks in comps as opposed freedom of expression that just lapping a park/mtn with a camera has, catching all those little nollies, presses etc. Style. It's very true what Hornbeck was talking about in Right back where we started about the similarities with Skateboarding and just skating street etc...  as opposed to skating park / comps etc.  

That is all...

shuffles just arent as easy as they look. super fun to do, but they are hard on your abs and my skis seem to like to pop off when i do them...

They are cool when you intend to do them. When kids are falling off rails and then try to salvage it with a half assed suffle it makes me angry

Pretty sure its called Dead Lunging not shuffling. Reason being: you land sideways and are too far forward or cant revert back, you fall on your side and wind the hell out of yourself ergo: dead lung.

At least thats what im going to call them.

Its called a revert. It always has been called a revert. i have no idea where this "shuffle" term came from but its stupid

shuffles are way snappier than reverts. reverts sound like a mistake or a washout, but shuffles are fully intentional and quicker, done (if right) almost right on contact when you hit the snow.

well it looks awful when people land then do it. or when people do it multiple times like dane tudor or leigh powis. Like land revert to switch and go back again to forward. and when matt walker does them sometimes he sprays snow and that looks retarded, looks like hes stopping. But, I am being very critical

Except those skaters arent riding the same park as the ones competing in it.  It's much more creative to go find your own jumps/jibs/features/stair sets/interpretations outside of the park, and thats why skating is rad and wont get stale, or snowboarding for that matter.

the idea is not to land sideways, you land one way, and shuffle around and go the other way.

Realizing you won't bring your trick around, land sideways then revert to either switch or forward. Some people will even goes as far as tricking you into thinking they are going to either switch or regular and then revert again to the opposite.
