Hornbeck doing shuffles in the jiberish movie. Just watch, so many kids will be getting them on lock this season! Personally i will too cause i think they are sick!

ive never really liked them, and i used to think that they looked really stupid and pointless. however, they look so ill when hornbeck and cole drexler do them. a lot of people can do em, but in my opinion only a handful of people can do them properly and make them look good. but thats just my opinion.

I thought it was called a deadlung. Max Hill and Coal Drexel have been doing them forever. There was even a CASG interview on the main page a while back where they were talking about deadlung landings

yah this has come up a bunch of times, he's been doing them a lot for at least the last 2-3 years

basically what it comes down to is Hornbeck makes them look good cause he's Hornbeck and his style is way out there...unless you add your own cool touch to it youre just gonna look like an asshole if you try to copy that style, mostly cause he's found some way to make it not look like a mistake, which is what it looks like when almost ANYONE else does it

i guess the OP didn't want to say that hornbeck invented them. he just wanted to point out, that many people will learn/do them this coming season.
just because hornbeck/the jiberish movie  gets more hyped than any other skiers who  did them before

Coal Drexler: We got the idea for the "shuv-it" landing (the "deadlung" as we call it) through snowboarding, more specifically from Mark Edlund, who bangs them out pretty hard in a few of Technine's movies. We have been doing them for the past few years, just haven't really dropped any edits with a deadlung landing in it until this past season. And I'm assuming the same goes for Hornbeck; that guy kills and is super innovative. With a deadlung you never know if the skier is going to land one way, or revert back the other way. Keeps things fresh for now but that won't be the fact next year so don't hope to see too many deadlungs out of us. As for our naming of it, Deadlung is Edlund's nickname so it just seemed appropriate.

I have my own little stylie tricks that are part of MY style, and I started doing them because they felt good and natural to me at the time.
