i really dont know what the point of different bindings are. sure ive skied different types of bindings but i really cant tell the difference, besides wieght. how can you feel what different bindings feel like if you have 5 lb boots on that are covered in hard plastic?
its not really about how they feel when you are skiing, its more about how good of a job they do releasing during a fall or not releasing when they shouldn't.
Just make sure you get something that's going to last you... going with the cheapest binding you can find is not the smartest thing. They will usually be made of just plastic, and will pre-release all over the place, leading to your frustration, and potentially to injury...
I suggest at LEAST a 12 din binding for anyone who is going to be skiing even moderately aggressive from time to time...
no it matters you want to get any sort of swivel binding. if you have shitty bindings even if you adjust them they wont work as good as a swivel. this was my first year riding swivels and im never gonna ride any other binding again... i hope
there are also many different kinds of skis/skicompanies, are you saying they should all be dismantled and there should only be 1 slalom ski, 1 parkski and 1 powderski ?
