What to do if you're the first person to make contact with an alien
not to take this so seriously, but i dont see any reason why they'd necessarily understand "math" in the ways we do, even in the most fundamental sense. if math is more or less a descriptor or what is going on, i dont see any reason to assume they would have gone about it the same way at all
What I believe we really need to terms with is judging by the fact that the odds there being no other life capable of interaction with us by now in the Milky Way are disgustingly close to zero, and the fact that we have no evidence that any of these have made the effort for whatever reason to contact us, we, within the next thousand years, may need to be the ones to initiate contact with aliens.
I agree. I think we will be the ones contacting them, but it would have to be in several hundred thousand years before we have the technology to create wormholes or otherwise manipulate space-time to travel faster than light.
>implying some sort of method to warp space-time couldnt be invented in the next several thousand years.
also, >implying quantum entanglement can't transport information instantaneously.
obviously, i'm going to let them take me on their ship so they can experiment on me, and then i'm going to come back and tell everyone what happened. it'll be great!
I watched this video, and said the reason why we haven't encountered any aliens is that were not interesting enough to even being worth making contact.
