My car was stolen!

I'm so bummed right now ns, my baby, my absolute pride and joy was stolen from me this morning.

It was a 98 volvo v70 xc, awd with my thule and all my ski gear in it. And now its just gone.

Idk what I'm going to do, I just moved 300 miles away from home on sunday so I could ski full time at hood and maybe one day go pro, but with out my car I can t do anything. I dont even have a fucking job yet and of course I only had liability insurance on it, so they wont even replace it.

If you guys could send me some vibes or something it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks newschoolers, I'm going to make it through this, I just bummed

Glad to hear that.

I had a friend who is an amazing skier actually lose all of his gear when he was moving via flight. The airline some how lost his hard ski case with his skis, clothes, everything.

I remember he was riding around the first half the season in a super gangster oakley one piece and his brothers 3 year old Troubles with demo bindings. It was kinda funny.

The fucking nerve of some people. I hope by some stroke of luck its recovered. You should check dumpsters and shit in the local area mabey they dumped your personal items? i guess it depends on what their motive was car thieves would probly get rid of all that stuff and sell the car under the table.

I just wonder if the car theifs are smart enough. You know to have it click in their mind that the key goes to the thule.

Hopefully your car is found and they weren't smart enough to figure out that key goes there.

We didnt see any glass or anything like that but there was a spare key to my car with my thule key in the center console

So finallyh some good news.

My roommate and I both got jobs today, and although insurance won't replace my car, there is a pretty high chance it will be recovered. And finally my homeowners insurance is going to cover the replacement costs of all the gear minus an $1100 deductable.

And yes I am covered under my parents homeowners insurance, thats why the deductable was so high.

The fact that you are fellow skier isn't relevant to this conversation.  Also,  having recently moved does not affect the fact that it is common sense not to leave your car unlocked with a key inside it.

Basically they found it in a towing lot because it had been parked at a best western. Still no word on any of the gear, but i was told that its in driveable condition
