Both pairs of skull candy buds that I have had have broken very easily and i have noticed my friends have also. Its ok because skull candy offers a lifetime warranty but it takes four weeks. I was wondering if you guys had the same problems? And i'm not hating on skullcandy there great headphones just break easily
yeah mine worked for a couple months, but on all 3 skullcandys ive got, one of the earbuds has stopped working. ive procratinated sending them back for about 6 months but ill get to sending them back soon enough. none of it was cosmetic damage, mechanical damage, so i get them replaced free :)
Get some real headphones like Sony or Bose in the long run the extra price will be better than buying a million pairs of skullcandy's. I learned this the hard way.
ive had my icons for 2 seasons know including many pow days and they still work perfectly there kinda bent outta shape from goin under my helmet but i only use em for skiing so it doesnt really matter. dont they have a really good warrenty on them anyways if they do brake
get some ifrogz earpollution, ive had my ifrogz earpollution DJ style Unions for like 6 months now and still have great sound and very nice bass and they make ear buds and different kinds too
i had 2 icons in the past, and both broke down very soon, now i got sony headphones and sennheiser ears and both durability and soundquality are ten times better then skullcandy....
Their warranty is awesome in theory... in practice, they lose shit, and you can never talk to a real person. I've had two sets of headphones, one Icon 2 and one Lowrider, that I shipped out and never heard about ever again. Sending emails gets no response, and trying to call is useless.
I sent two pairs on the same day (seperate packages) 7 weeks ago. One came back within 4 weeks, the other, I haven't gotten confirmation they received it. It was, however, confirmed delivered by USPS...
It was a joke. I have a pair of Bose QC3's that the headband portion broke, so I seperated the buds from the frame and built a new frame that allows me to wear them under a helmet. Pretty sweet to have quality headphone that were useless that I can now use to ski with and not care if they break.
and i am really wondering where the skull candy hate comes from. the titan buds were $14 on whiskeymilitia and the bose were $99 and the skull candies are better in my opinion
ditch the cheap ass plastic and get some shit thats gonna last then stop fucking complaining when your cheap shit broke.
if you guys want a good quality headphone that is still under 100 take a look at Shure- they're a company that actually give you quality rather than a name
no they dont, skullcandy's have shitty sound quality, the only reason people keep buying them is because there are not many other brands that have good looking designs
i had a pair of titans and they sounded great until the broke a few months after i bought them but i still dont know if its worth dropping a 100 bucks on a pair of boses but i would say its pretty shitty of the pros for advertising a product that is not a good one i will admit that the only reason i bought a pair of skullcandy instead of a different brand was becasue of all the pros that represent it. Hell i even bought a skullcandy sticker for my helmet and a bandanna so fuck u pros
Maybe I've just been using shitty headphones and when I went to BestBuy and checked out the Bose stuff it sounded incredible. The Bose earbuds and noise cancelling headphones were great though. I'll check out Shure if I'm ever looking for nice ear buds I guess.
i have had about 3 pairs of the INK'D buds (cheapest buds). I have had no problems with them, the only reason i am on my 4th pair is because i keep on misplacing them. most of the rich kids at my school give me there broken skullcandy's and i send them for warranty BAM! a month later brandnew headphones i usually sell them to the kids in my to kids at my hill or kids in my neighborhood.
