They guys, I hardly ever make threads on ns, I tend to usually just read them, but right now I am very sick with hepatitis (inflammation of the liver). Monday night docs at UW ER gave me a 1 in 10 chance of not making it through the night, and my status is still out at this point. I have had 5 blood draws in 24 hours to come up with an explanation and right now they are guessing my latent tuberculosis antibiotics + mono is causing my liver to shut down. vibes are always appreciated
damn, vibes for sure. are there different types of hep? cause whenever i think of it i think blood transmitted diseases that shut the body down and people die. i hope thats not what you got :(
sorry if you do, i just made you think about a terrible thing though.
I sincerely hope you get well soon! The seasons only just coming up in a couple months and everyone on ns for sure wants to see a fellow skier make it through and get back on the shred.
If UW means University of Washington (not Wisconsin) then you're at one of the best Medical Institutions in the US. I live right by UW, and it's consistently ranked top in the country for it's stellar Med program.
I wish you the best of luck, and wanted to let you know you're in good hands at the UW.
A speaker at my grade 12 retreat caught meningitis and was told he would die, after being paralyzed slowly. He got fully paralyzed then walked out of the hospital like 2 months later, and proceeded to run across the great wall of China while being chased by the communist government.
Pretty crazy, i think the best thing you can have is a positive mindset. I will be sending the good vibrations your way, try to stay positive!
If you want to PM someone to talk for any reason, I don't mind at all.
