trama, it's the same fucking view that killed axis dumbass. Axis is basically owned by Powder and i wouldnt be surprised that some of the old higher up fucks at Powder gave it the axe because they only saw it as another park rat rag. man, this shit sucks. Axis was full of good ideas, but when your parent company owns powder, and doesn't seem to put any money into Axis, you can't be surprised when it goes to the shitter.

I don't think powder is responsible for axis' end, they were both owned by primedia. You see powder is not an independent magazine, like freeskier, so they really don't give a fuck.

AXIS is basically Powder's pet project, though. And if this is actually true (what's your source, Phrosty?), then don't say 'FUCK POWDER' because it was Powder that started AXIS in the first place. If it is really gone, it will be missed. I had hopes for that magazine to provide something beside's FREEZE's dumb bling-bling for 13-year-olds and Freeskier's glossy 'Bradford Fayfield's party magazine.'

It was kind of short, the photos were good but check out transworld snowboarding and there is no comparison in quality and quantity of photos.
I was disapointed in Axis every time I picked up an issue.
This mag does a much better job if you want a dope new school ski mag:

SBC skier sucks.. they rag on jibbing, there articles are lame, and ahh what else.. THERE NOT FUNNY.
Freeze is funny cause they try so hard, but atleast they dont take things to seriusly.

'It was probably the most improved park in north america last year. That's mostly due to us getting up at fucking 8 am everyday and raking like monkeys, untill we were to baked to talk. Every now and then some texan would eat shit and it would be funny and we would call ski patrol on our radios. we would steal food from the base and cook it on our grill, then heckle people on the lift with our mega phone while we played frisbee across the run. and took naps behind the shack in the most exclusive hut on the mountain. o christ, best winter ever.'
