Just ran the mile, i dont consider myself a fast runner. I got like 7 minutes, what do you guys get?

Dude im pretttty sure she isnt lying, its nawt like she's fat and cant run non-stop for 7 minutes..Its not that hard, especially if she does sports and is active.

Well, recently she's been adding some pounds.  I found some ho-ho wrappers in her trash.  That may be the cause.

Not necessarily.

Most skiers I've met are pretty fit. Skiing tends to be a sign of an active lifestyle, and most skiers usually have, from my experience, another sport or sports in which they excel.

The outdoorsy athleticism of skiing is usually an indicator of prowess in general.

my best was 4:53, which fittingly was my last race in high school.  that was years ago and i doubt i could break 5:30 right now though.

same here, i remember i was always the fastest in my school from kindergarten to 8th grade. My fastest time was 5:50 in like 10th grade, I havent ran for the sake of running in about 3 years but i bet i could still get a 6 minute mile if i just got out and did it

in 5th grade i did a 12:02 2 mile so 6:01 now (going into sr. year) i run a 6:30 average but i haven't done it in a while

That's a hard fucking swim. The only reason Alcatraz is so close to the city is that was considered an impossible swim.

It said, "what do you get on the mile" and since I am not a runner AT ALL, and I am a SWIMMER, I feel that my input was useful. I can't run a mile for shit, but since people took there 2 mile times and guesstimated, I figured I could do it too.

So true, I can run 20 miles no problem, but I can hardly swim down and back in the pool without nearly dying haha. It's pretty sad actually.

i don't really understand why people are saying "I sense a lot of fake claim" i haven't seen very many fast times in this thread. I saw a couple 405s and what not which is pretty damn fast but most people have been saying 530 and 600 which isn't very fast so i would bet they aren't lying. anyway. This past track season as a soph i ran 4:41

Solid 10 minute mile. Im with the cat on this one. My legs are too damn short for long distances and ive jacked both my ankles and the arch in my foot.

half these kids claiming 5 minuetes are full of shit if not more...  in a class of 30 people,  many athletes, like 3 broke the 5 minute mark, now all of a sudden it seems like 9 out of 10 people in this forum can run it in less than 6
well i can run it in 4:24

i ran a 5:10 last track season. im definately not a distance guy, im a hurdler, but i decided it wasnt to big of a meet so i would just hop in the mile to see what i would go.
