Durability of Marker bindings?

I've talked to multiple people (one of which who was a professional skier) who have told me that Marker makes bad bindings.  I skied on them last year, and they broke multiple times for me (especially when I land switch). 

Will my bindings break no matter what brand I get, or is Marker just a bad company for freestyle bindings?

P.s. my bindings were 12 din bindings.

The metal holding the brake to the ski is bent so now the brake pops out.

It depends on the line. I honestly feel like the Marker Royal Family line (Jester, Duke, Griffon, Baron) is one of the better choices on the market right now, even in terms of durability. Outside of the Royal Family line (which has generated favorable reviews), I've heard nothing but horror stories from Marker. I feel like a lot of people hate on Marker on here unnecessarily because they've used a non-Royalty Marker binding, had a terrible experience, and assumed that the Royal Family is the same way. It's not, under normal conditions.

I have a pair of Duke's one one of my skis, and those bindings are beast.

The Royal family is not in the same league as other popular freeride bindings such as Salomon, FKS/Pivot, ect. However they aren't that bad. After using a few pairs of Jesters pretty heavily I had only a few brakes that needed replacing, which is a problem I have gotten with almost all bindings I have been on. In addition, I raced on comp series markers in the past and they were decent. I pre-released a few times but nothing that I didn't get from other race bindings. As for durability I would shy away from the Royal bindings unless you are a lighter skier in need of a 16 DIN binding like the Jester or looking at the Duke/Baron. There are much better 12 DIN Bindings out there. The performance series and the Free series are all trash.

The royal family line from marker has a good reputation, griffon, jester, duke and baron, especially the 16din jester is a bombproof binding.....

from the schizofrantic system (basically an adjustable mount for jester/griffon), i've heard mixed reviews and i think it's too early to judge em....

any of the lower din markers 12.0free by example has a bad reputation....

i myself have an m14free on a scott p4 and i love that binding, so i guess in the end you have to be lucky ...

on pretty much every binding, this piece is designed to fail first before your heel tray does, that way you are only replacing a brake rather than a heel tray + remounting/reusing holes. Sucks, but it's better than the current alternative.
